Introducing the Rungeto FCS Kii Coffee, a meticulously crafted brew that embodies the rich history and scenic beauty of its origins. Nestled in the
fertile lands of Kenya, this coffee is the result of the dedication and expertise of the Rungeto Cooperative Society.
The Kii factory, established in 1995, is a cornerstone of the Rungeto Cooperative Society. Situated at an altitude of 1600 to 1800 meters above sea
level, it benefits from the breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya. This remarkable setting not only provides awe-inspiring
scenery but also contributes to the region’s ideal conditions for agricultural production.
The coffee process employed at the farm is a Fully Washed method, ensuring exceptional quality and flavour. Cherries are sorted before undergoing
pulping. Following this, the parchment undergoes an overnight fermentation process. Afterward, it is washed and meticulously graded into several
categories. Finally, the coffee is carefully dried on drying tables, a process that takes between 8 to 14 days, to reach its optimal moisture content.
The cooperative goes beyond the pursuit of exceptional flavour; it also upholds environmental responsibility and promotes sustainable practices. The
washing station at Kii prioritizes water conservation by recycling the water used during the pulping process. Moreover, the cooperative encourages
farmers to transform coffee pulps into fertilizer, providing a natural and eco-friendly approach to nourishing their coffee trees.
With each sip of Rungeto FCS Kii Coffee, you will experience the culmination of the cooperative’s commitment to excellence, their respect for the
environment, and the breathtaking beauty that surrounds their coffee-growing region. It is a coffee that embodies both the rich heritage and
sustainable future of Kenyan coffee production
