JAUMA Mclarenvale Danby grenache mataro Syrah ★★★★
This years Danby blend see's mostly Blewitt Springs Grenache with a touch of Clarendon Syrah, the Mataro wasn't up to scatch. A great Aussie blend with exciting and vibrant fruit. Excellent and very smashable.

Jauma The Rusticity of Rolf Grenache Syrah 2011 Natural wines are now not just for wine geeks and the 'unwashed'. This years releases from Jauma are really showing the elegance that can come from Grenache and as a European I love that. Grenache should be fragrant and food friendly and in the words of the man himself James "The Pinot Noir from the South of France". This wine has some Syrah blended in which adds some softness and fruit so you can enjoy this before dinner. Note that these wines are unfiltered so don't be surprised when you pour a glass if its gloomy but full of flavour!
